The boat

Built in 1926 by the Aldo Taroni shipyard, the Rosamond is a 12.50-metre vessel linked to the history and charm of Lake Maggiore.

The name, inspired by an Egyptian star, was chosen by the first owner, Pasha Zervudaki, who stayed in a villa in Oggebbio.

It has hosted illustrious figures such as Princess Margaret, Toscanini and the future Pope Paul VI.

It was also chosen as the vessel for the wedding of John Elkann to Lavinia Borromeo and Pierre Casiraghi to Beatrice Borromeo.

Originally powered by a Marini engine, it is now equipped with a modern 270 hp Mercruiser.

The Rosamond remains a symbol of the prestige and history of the Borromean Islands.
